Fractional Marketing Consultant · Nashville, TN · Open to Relocate · Available for Remote Work

Some people build brands. I build what's behind them.

When the right story finds the right people at the right moment, something shifts. For more than 20 years, that belief has been the engine behind every campaign, coalition, and organization I have helped build. Book a free 30-minute call → No pitch deck required.

I am Phil Cobucci — nonprofit marketing strategist, community builder, advocate, and writer. For more than 20 years I have helped nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and businesses find their footing, sharpen their message, and show up for the people they serve. The work has taken me from statewide legislative campaigns to brand launches, annual reports to grassroots coalitions.

What ties it all together is a simple belief: that when the right story meets the right people at the right moment, something shifts. I am available for fractional marketing and communications work, speaking, and select consulting engagements. If you have a mission worth fighting for, I would love to hear about it.

📣 Marketing & Communications Strategy Brand positioning, content strategy, digital and traditional media, annual reports, and integrated campaign development. Built for organizations that need a senior strategic mind without a full-time hire.
🏛️ Nonprofit Development & Strategy Fundraising strategy, grant administration, board governance, program design, and capacity building. Twenty years working inside and alongside mission-driven organizations — not just advising from the outside.
🤝 Coalition Building & Advocacy Stakeholder mapping, partner cultivation, legislative advocacy, and grassroots campaign coordination. Proven in politically hostile environments where the margin for error is narrow.
🎤 Speaking & Facilitation Keynotes, panels, and workshop facilitation on community building, storytelling for social impact, advocacy strategy, and organizational leadership. Available for conferences, retreats, and convenings.

I lead with listening Before I offer a single recommendation, I want to understand your organization — your people, your pressures, your wins, and what keeps you up at night. Strategy without context is just guessing.
02
I think in systems, not campaigns A great campaign is one thing. A communications infrastructure that keeps working after I am gone is something else entirely. I build for sustainability, not just the short win.
03
I adapt to what you need Some engagements are a focused sprint — a brand refresh, a launch strategy, a campaign plan. Others are longer partnerships where I embed with your team. I am comfortable in both.
04
I tell you what I actually think I am not here to tell you what you want to hear. If your messaging is not working, we will talk about why. That kind of honesty is the whole point of bringing in outside perspective.
"As a young trans teen, I cannot begin to tell you how much it means to me to see someone like you stand up for me. I stood there at the Capitol Steps at the Have a Heart Rally and watched you speak with such passion and conviction for my life. You may never meet me, but I want you to know that what you said changed me — and made me realize that despite what this state tries to do to us, there will always be people like you fighting back." "Phil is a bold leader who values outside-the-box thinking. I have worked with Phil on several events and projects and have always found him to be incredibly professional, and adept at translating vision into reality. He has a passion for helping others, building bridges, and tackling tough issues with integrity." Paul "Esa" Galloway Public Relations and Civic Leadership Professional
"Phil stays on top of all digital and social marketing trends and helps my team utilize every platform to drive real results. Individually, Phil has become a very strong influence in my life in both personal leadership growth and networking. Run, not walk, to connect with Phil. You won't regret it."
